You may be encountering a person or institution that wields power in a domineering, unmovable, or punishing way, and it is costing you more than you have acknowledged. Alternatively, you may be examining your own relationship to control — where the need to dominate outcomes, suppress dissent, or manage others has hardened into something that damages rather than protects. There is also a subtler version of this card: authority that has never fully matured, someone powerful in position but not in character. Where in your life are rules being enforced without regard for the human beings the rules are supposed to serve? That question is worth sitting with carefully.
