The Nine of Pentacles reversed is the shadow of success — the beautiful garden maintained for appearances while the gardener inside is quietly withering. Something in your material or emotional life may look fine from the outside while feeling hollow from within. There can be financial dependence that costs more than it provides, or an abundance that arrived at the expense of your health, your relationships, or your sense of self. The reversed Nine does not say the abundance is unreal, only that it may be incomplete — missing the inner richness that makes outer comfort meaningful. You may be working so hard to maintain the image of self-sufficiency that you have forgotten how to actually receive support.
